Shake Shake Shake, Shake your...... blender ball!

 

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Donna for introducing me to MyBariatricPantry.com!!!!  They sell protein powder by the tub or in samples (as well as other products).  I chose to go with 35 different samples.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know I've always been the "I hate protein powder" type of girl.

Not anymore.
So I wanted to share that with you.

So far I have tried:
Syntrax Nectar Roadside Lemonade
Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle
Syntrax Nectar Caribbean Cooler
Matrix Mint Cookie  (mmmmmmmmm)

The Matrix Mint Cookie seriously tasted like a mint chocolate chip milkshake (but melty).  I bet if I put it in a blender with some ice, it would be as good as a milkshake.
I will be buying that one in the huge tub! 

All have been great so far though!


Also, every single morning it seems like I see a new lower number!
Eff yes!

    I am SO proud of you, chickie! And as for the song lyric titles--Great Minds think alike! :) I might have to check out the website also. I've only ever done Unjury since I can get it at my providers office, and use FSA funds--and it's not weird tasting--I think it tastes delicious! But those other flavors sound awesome too! :)

      It Really Depends How Many Calories I'm Willing To Use. My Preference Is Milk OR Plain Almond Milk, But Sometimes Water. I Imagine I'll Want To Mix Iced Tea With Water. The Nectar Packs Suggest What To Mix With, But I'm A Fan Of Mixing Things Up. The Fruity Ones Would Be Good With Pineapple Juice Our

    You all are getting the benefit of me being your guinea pig and trying out all of these protein powders.

    I'm LOVING the Matrix ones. Nectar are good, but not as good. Except the lemon tea flavor- they can keep that shit.....absolutely disgusting!

    Two fave flavors so far are:

    Matrix 2.0 Mint Cookie
    Matrix 2.0 Peanut Butter Cookie

    Both are like heaven in a blender bottle. Notice the cookie theme?

WLS Bullying

Have any of you noticed how much bullying exists among us in the WLS community?  I'm not necessarily referring to those of us in blogland--in fact, I've never felt bullied or anything other than the most support here in my little blog world.  But in other parts of the WLS community I've experienced a lot of "my surgery is better than yours" comments and a lot of size comparison.  It's something that I first experienced when I tried a local WLS meetup.  I was the only person with a lapband at the group and it was then that I decided I would never go back. Now that I'm revised, I still disagree with it.  I would NEVER put someone down because they made a different decision than me.  Even with all my trouble with the band, I would never tell someone that they were making the wrong choice.  Your body, your choice.
