Have any of you noticed how much bullying exists among us in the WLS community? I'm not necessarily referring to those of us in blogland--in fact, I've never felt bullied or anything other than the most support here in my little blog world. But in other parts of the WLS community I've experienced a lot of "my surgery is better than yours" comments and a lot of size comparison. It's something that I first experienced when I tried a local WLS meetup. I was the only person with a lapband at the group and it was then that I decided I would never go back. Now that I'm revised, I still disagree with it. I would NEVER put someone down because they made a different decision than me. Even with all my trouble with the band, I would never tell someone that they were making the wrong choice. Your body, your choice. So, what's sparked this topic of discussion, you might wonder? Well, last month I went on a trip to meet several VSG sisters from instagra...
Wow... it's been a year since I've written. I never updated you on my revision (2.0), and I'm only here because it's possible my info could be helpful to others so I thought I'd write a quick update to share. I had been trying for some time via donor sperm and this particular time I'd been careless with counting days, hadn't taken ovulation tests, but there I was... pregnant. Right after surgery. I hid my pregnancy for a while from the public, which is a huuuge reason i never updated the blog after surgery. I am now the lightest I've ever been... 161 (starting was 344.4). I'm healthy, with no further reflux. And I'm just living life with...
Ahhhhhhhhhh.... I hate making decisions!!!!! I originally bought the white dress and now I feel self conscious in it. I bought the gold dress for my birthday last year only to discover a few days before my birthday that there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of me zipping it up. The black and snakeskin is too big and will need to be altered if I wear it. But I've never worn it in public. Choose for me!!!! Pleeeeeease
