Happy Fat Tuesday!

Today at work, my awesome coworker made a King Cake for everyone.  I got a tiny piece to test the waters, and I was able to eat it!  So I went back for a normal size piece and I found the baby inside!  For anyone who doesn't know, finding the baby inside the king cake is good luck for the year.

Looks like it is already bringing me luck, because I was able to eat my lunch (No PBing)!  I've eaten a lot today, but I suddenly feel a burst of energy and it's great.

My stress hasn't gone away, but I did lose 2 pounds since last week (today weighing 275.2) so maybe that's what has helped me eat.

Regardless of WHY I'm able to eat, I'm happy.  Tonight is my cousin's birthday, so we're going out for dinner.  Hopefully I'll continue to be able to keep my food down for this evening :)

  1. I would just be careful...if you vomit too much it could lead to a slipped band and low potassium. Last summer, my band got extremely tight for no reason. I lost 40 lbs in 2 months. I had not had a fill in over 1.5 years. My potassium was very low and had to take two rounds of pills. This can cause heart attacks. I was also having a lot of acid. I had to have an unfill last month and am doing much better. My doctor told me if the vomiting didn't stop, they would be concerned it slipped. I was doing much better but have been going through a lot of stress this past week. Can't keep much down and lost 11 pounds in one week. I will have to see how things go. Although I have had my band for 3.5 years, I am still learning...Wishing you the best of luck!

  2. Glad to hear you are able to eat. Please Please go slow. The weight will come off. It doesnt have to hurry. The slower you lose the healthier anyway! Good Job on your loss!
